Mr Hassell created such a unique, multi-faceted, wonderful, delicious tower of hotness when he created Raymond. He's been told all his life that he's an embarassment, he's been neglected, unloved, and lonely, and the only person he ever had was Sam, and Sam's family. They're BFFs, and Israel knows he relies too heavily on Sam and is trying to cut those \u003Ci\u003Ewhatever the BFF equivalent of apron strings is.\u003C\/i\u003E And even though nothing could take away how crap his family made him feel all his life, I thought how N.R. Heroine calling other women whores, \u003Ci\u003Ewhilst\u003C\/i\u003E cheating (especially when Frankie's boyfriend didn't even need to exist!), justifying shit to make the plot work (evil ex, evil father, etc), couple moving too fast, unrelateable heroine, perfect godlike hero, random peripheral characters used to create dialogue that will point stuff out to the reader because A. we're too stupid to figure it out on our own, or B. the author hasn't taken the time to paint the picture. Caricature characters that had no human-ness at all.
