Review:

Run to You (Military Men, #2) by Rachel Gibson

Tuesday, July 19

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There's nothing like fleeing Miami to ruin a girl's day. Stella Leon's bartending gig was going fine until gorgeous ex-Marine Beau Junger decked her mob-connected boss, spirited her out of the city, and claimed that Stella's half-sister--the one with the perfect life--sent him. Now Stella has no choice but to go along for the ride... and seduce Beau's military-issue socks off...

The Marine Corps was Beau's escape from his old man's legacy of naval heroism and serial philandering, but no amount of training could prepare him for the day he looked in the mirror and saw his father staring back. The answer: swear off meaningless sex. Oh, and find a way to make Stella Leon quit being so damn hot...

What I loved:
- Stella & Beau had heat! RG wrote the build up crazy hot!
- Stella as a character was enjoyable to read. Loved her internal dialogue and the way nobody got her jokes, except Sadie and eventually Beau... sometimes.
- Flashbang What an awesome device to write into the story.

What I didn’t love:
- The use of the words penis and vagina in the sex scenes. Please don't do that anymore, RG.
- Did Ricky & the Gallo brothers just disappear, or did I miss something? Not that they were all that exciting as baddies but considering they were the catalyst for the story, I kind of wondered what the hell happened to them.

Overall…
A gorgeous, fun, hot read. If you like a slow burn, and good build up, you'll love it!! But why are there always twins in RG stories?? Bo & Chelsea in Nothing But Trouble, Mae & Ray in Simply Irresistible and now Beau & Blake. Why??
